Kathak Studio

An institute for Indian Classical art forms, the Kathak Studio is a charming building rooted in traditional Kerala Nalukettu type of architecture. Crafted for the purpose of teaching classical forms of dance and music, the design of the structure built across approximately 1800 sq. ft, echoes its artistic mission, drawing inspiration from musical notes and dance mudras. The Kathak Studio greets its visitors with a stunning fountain, shaped in the form of a traditional mudra. Aligned with the principles of Vastu, the studio has a north-east entrance and is naturally illuminated along with fresh air, creating a bright and serene atmosphere. The entrance includes an open waiting area and reception, which leads into an internal courtyard with a large central tree that serves as a gathering space for students. The studio includes a large stage, several green rooms and a small garden. The courtyard features stairs which lead you to the first floor, which houses guest accommodation. This guest house also includes a terrace at the back which opens into the clear blue skies, providing the opportunity for open dance and music gatherings or events.
