Manipal Zolo
This project, although not constructed by us, was conceptualized for Zolo stays, with innovative ideas and unique themes to transform the unutilized open zones around the MIT campus hostel blocks into vibrant community spaces. The design focused on enhancing functionality, accessibility and aesthetics while promoting community living, relaxation and collaboration.
The project featured six distinct zones:
- MIT Green Junction: A lively area with a selfie zone, casual seating on boats and barrels, adventure climbing and a colored pergola.
- Pirates of the Arabian Sea: A themed space with pirate-inspired elements like a treasure map, tire swings, lanterns, barrel seating, telescopes and a photo booth.
- Wings of Fire: Inspired by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's "Wings of Fire," this zone featured an interactive area with a solar roof and symbolic structures representing leadership and inspiration.
- Meandering Meadows: A cozy spot featuring a cafe and seating for students to relax and socialize.
- Recreation Zone: A garden with unique seating arrangements for leisure and relaxation.
- Fitness at the Lawn: An open-air gym with bamboo cocoons for meditation, a gazebo for yoga and de-stress pods.
